4 Easy Steps To Care For Your Beard

Hmm, yeah, came out looking good. The beard's been looking good lately. What's that? What'd you say? Oh… How did I get the beard looking so good? Well, I'm going to tell you about it.

Here’s how to care for your beard in four easy steps. Hey there, it's Tommy Kissinger with the Geaux Bearded Beard Products Company. We're also a community and a brotherhood for the bearded.

Listen, I'm glad you asked. Care for your beard? That’s important.

Maybe you've never grown a beard before. You may be a pro at it. Or maybe you just started and you're wondering, hey, what do I do? How do I care for my beard? Are there products out there? What kind of products do you put in it? What do you do?

So here are four easy steps to care for your beard:

Number one, or step number one, is beard wash. Gotta have a clean beard. And obviously, just like shampoo, you wash it at least, you know, every other day, depending on your activity. You may want to wash it every day.

I wash mine every day because I'm a runner. I run every single day, so I need to wash it every day. So, step number one when you get in the shower is beard wash.

And when you do the wash, you don't just want to get it on the outer part of the beard. You want to make sure you get it all down to the skin to exfoliate and help break up and get rid of the dry skin. That’s going to cut down on any beard itch.

Now, step number two is beard conditioner.

And the two that we have shown you so far (in the video), are Mount Kilimanjar"breaux"—a collaboration scent we developed with Chad Boney of Bearded MounjarbroThe scent is citrus, orange, grapefruit, lime, and lemon.

So, step number two is beard conditioner. That cuts down on knots and tangles, help keeps things smooth. Every time after I get out of the shower, I dry the beard off, and run a comb through it.

The next step, step three, is beard oil. So, there is the Mount Kilimanjar"breaux" beard oil. The oil is to treat the skin primarily, and also to treat the hair, make it lay nice, give a nice little sheen to it, and hey, put one of them killer smells in it from Geaux Bearded like the citrus smell.

Step number four is beard butter. I use the butter at night, right before I go to bed. It's kind of like a leave-in conditioner. It helps keep your beard moisturized and more manageable.

Sometimes, I even mix a few little drops of oil with the butter to just help it really break down good and easy. I put the butter in the hair and just leave it in overnight. That way, when I wake up in the morning, I start combing through it, making sure it’s ready to go.

Yeah, you still hit a few snags and a few knots, but there's much less breakage of the hair and much less shedding when you use the beard butter.

So, there you have it. It's a simple little message. Four easy steps to care for your beard.
